    Concrete cure time

Thanks joes169, I hadn't thought about it that way but you're right. Now I can continue with that work and I don't have to wait to put the cement board. Thanks.

    Concrete cure time

I just poured a shower pan yesterday for a restroom I'm remodeling, my question is how long should I wait before I can lay the rubber liner over the new concrete? The new concrete is about 3 to 4" thick. See attached picture please.

    Shop Fan motor repair

Thanks 404, that's the kind of info i was looking for. Yes the motor does have oil holes on top on both ends, I will give it a squirt of oil each and I will check how freely the blades turn. If that centrifugal switch gets hot, will it make is stop after its ran for a while? If so, can that...

    Shop Fan motor repair

Thanks knobby, I'll look into the variac if i get it repaired. I did look at the replacement motors at Northern Tool but they are not worth buying, at least not for me. A replacement motor cost $160 and a whole new fan cost $180, so why would I want to only replace the motor? Anyways, this fan...

    Shop Fan motor repair

I was given this PAXTON high velocity shop fan. The issue with this fan is that it will run fine for about 15 minutes and then the motor heats up and turns off. Is this motor repairable? Does it have a starter/capacitor or something? Is it the bearings/bushings? Is it worth fixing or replacing...

    Mounting a winch/ on a Reciever / On a car trailer?

Second pic. Here is the picture of the trailer with the receiver tube welded on. The C-channel has the hitch section welded to it and the winch bolts to the C-channel. All I use is a hitch pin to hold it. Its work great for years. I only put the winch on when needed and store it in the garage...

    Mounting a winch/ on a Reciever / On a car trailer?

It is very simple with your set up. I did the very same thing to mine, I have the receiver welded vertically on the trailer and just slide it in and pin it. Here is the winch side. I'll take some pictures of the trailer tomorrow and post them.

    Help with tumbler

Like I said, that media felt like it had moisture in it......it was clumpy and it would stick together. If I lay it out like in a cooking sheet and leave it in the sun a few days, will it dry out? After all, I do live in the desert and we have NO problem drying things out. I would hate to get...

    Help with tumbler

No, the carb bases were not dirty or oily….they were just very rusty. This tumbler is not the wet type. This one is for dry use only.

    Help with tumbler

Well I got this 5 lb Harbor Freight tumbler for Christmas and finally got around to using it. I got the Resin Media for Rust cutting and put a rusty carburetor base in for my trial run. I let it run for a total of 5 hours and I see no progress. I know i will have to leave it longer but...

    Custom Fabrication

Hector, that was a great video and welcome to the G.J. I already have a question for you, is that a regular circular wood working saw? And what kind of blade did you use? I like that set up cause it seems like it results in a very clean cut with little mess and no sparks flying all over the place.
