Thanks guys! I saw similar switches come up but assumed they were just dimmers. Just to double check, those can be programmed thru the app, right? I don't have alexa or any other smart home anything to pair it to, nor do I want one.

So, with my new garage nearing it's final stages of assembly, I'm looking to get some details in it before the interior gets finished. One if the things I want is soffit lights / eave lights. I see there's a programmable light switch, whi h makes things real nice as I don't have to mess with it...

Aren't they flush mounted to the ceiling? I saw some that looked flush until they were turned on then it looked like the vent opened up... Here's a pic of my trusses from underneath, it's 11.5 inches between them

Damn. That 26 kinda kills it for me. I'm trying to get this into the last truss space, facing the front of the garage where we park. But behind it is wide open, where I plan on putting a hoist to work on cars. Here's a pic from the way back looking

I'll try to get some pictures soon. The floor trusses are 16 inches deep, or "high" so I dont think that is the problem. They are mounted 16 on center, but each truss is a 2x4 laid sideways, so putting that on center means there's only like 11 or 12 inches in between for room. Here's pics I have...

My garage is most likely getting a mini split with 3 heads. However, I was hoping 1 of the heads would be a ceiling mount for the area under the loft, which is where we are going to park. However, the space between the floor trusses is only like 11ish inches (can't recall off hand) does anyone...

Thanks for all the replies! I don't think a jackshaft is "needed" per se, but I have a loft above the door, and would like to use it for storage between the floor joists. Most of what I will store there will most likely still fit with a conventional door opener though... I dont like the idea of...
