I'm putting this dash from a 69 Dodge truck into my 85 truck project and its about 5" too short. So I cut it in half and am adding material to widen it. All the openings and holes will be filled in and new ones made to place the gauges, switches and radio where I want them.

Stall mat like you can get at Tractor Supply or other farm stores works great, I don't know what it costs new but I found 4'x15' piece of it on the side of the highway so that's what I used. At about 1/4" thick it weighs about as much as the drawer its in lol
