    Gambrel Roof Design

leaving a comment here about the OP and the Sketchup extension he has been working on for so long. I'm not sure how clear it is here what he's accomplished (I didn't look all through his post history) but the Medeek extensions for Sketchup are incredible and if you are looking to design a...

    Garage plans?

I think of solid works as a mechanical engineering program but I don't have a lot of basis for that thinking. Sketchup would work to make garage plans. If you are stick framing there are some extensions that do so much of the wall/roof framing quickly it's great.

Compressed Air Lines - Pressure Loss

I had a leak like that I couldn't find for some time and it was in the back of the regulator there was a plug or a screw (can't remember exactly but I think it was a plug in back for another gauge etc.) that was just not tightened/sealed all the way from the factory.

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

I have had issues with different grits and trying to find a consistent setup. I see one of your materials is 30-60 grit and I looked up the other one and it looks like it might be around 20 grit. Depending on your setup you might want to try and get to a more consistent grit so you can figure...

    Shop Mop

I vacuum the concrete in my shop with a normal household vacuum. I always feel kind of embarrassed about it. When I'm vacuuming I hope nobody shows up and sees me! I haven't graduated to a mop yet but I guess if I ever had an epoxy floor I'd probably sneak a mop out here and hide it! :ROFLMAO:

Buying a new Sub Compact Utility Tractor

I think you will be happy with your decision. You'll likely have no issues with parts or reliability and several years from now it will still hold a fair amount of it's value. Not that the other choices are bad but Kubota is a good choice. I remember when mine was all shiny new orange and my...

Buying a new Sub Compact Utility Tractor

My opinion on pallet forks - they are very useful and I wouldn't even consider not having them at this point. I guess if I had never had them I wouldn't feel that way. I have a fair amount of attachments and forks and landscape rake are probably the ones that have surprised me how much work they...

Buying a new Sub Compact Utility Tractor

I have never had an issue with the Kubota pedal. I've also operated JD tractors a fair amount as well and never had an issue with that pedal arrangement. In my opinion they are both fine and hardly worth basing a decision around. I cut my lawn with a rear finish mower and I really like the way...

Buying a new Sub Compact Utility Tractor

I went with Kubota L3400 new in 2010 and zero issues. Personally I am really happy I didn't go sub compact. A few of my neighbors have them and they are just too small. Horsepower isn't indicative of how a tractor will perform in my experience. Weight and traction make a tractor useful.

    Gravel over existing concrete driveway

I tore down part of a barn and the old slab is about 30x40. Left the slab on the ground and covered it with about 4" of gravel years ago and have had zero issues. Just normal gravel drive maintenance. In fact it's great because the gravel doesn't disappear.

    Make a large tripod.

Those look like nice brackets mind sharing where you found them?

Phone & radio reception - in metal lined, metal sided pole barn?

I can't get any cell signal in my shop (all steel) so I bought one of the signal boosters and It works good. FM radio isn't as bad but not great but I just stream a radio station if I really want to listen to it.

    Foam Under Slab - Needed?

I'm sure it would take a while to get the cost back in dollars but I put foam under my slab and it was one of the best things I did. I'd do it again 100 percent. The slab stays so warm when I heat it and it's much more comfortable on my feet. Worth every penny.

    Second compressor for more capacity

I have never had any issues with the pressure settings. I turned the screw on the smaller compressor years ago to get it to kick in at around 88psi. I don't remember the exact spread but if I am really using a lot of air the delay isn't long. It's just enough so both motors don't surge at same...

    6x6 Lumber Choice

Seeing where you live, I would give Turkstra a call. They have always been really helpful when I have questions like this. I think the moisture is an issue with box store PT lumber sometimes it's fine other times its so wet it's twice the weight and it just goes all wild when it dries. If I...
