Only thing I've been able to find is tradesmans insurance, and that only covered a max of 5k. Useless for a vehicle tech.
I'd be interested to know if any of the other UK guys know of any decent tool insurance.
Picked up these today. The vacuum purge refiller makes real quick work of refilling cooling systems.
The chain cutter makes exhaust replacement a breeze.
:dunno: Generic unbranded ebay cheap stuff. In fairness though it does exactly what it says on the tin, can't find anything wrong with it.
I'll be taking it to work tomorrow so it's gonna get put through its paces.
Like most techs I've accumulated a fair number of tools over the years that have become obsolete.
I just can't bring myself to get rid of them so (rather sad some may say) I kinda turned 'em into wall art, mounted 'em onto a 'special tool board' in my home garage.
Makes for an interesting...
I carry the standard vehicle tool kit (enough to change a wheel) and a few bits to effect minor electrical repairs and repairs to split coolant hoses plus a cheap code reader (to let me know whether or not it's safe to continue driving if the £ light illuminates) other than that I have break...
