I have an old Gedore branded Norbar. It's pretty big for my normal uses so I haven't used it much. From my research though it seems Norbar wrote the book.

Norbar are very good quality, and they only make torque products. I have 5 or 6 Norbars and they're great.

Good story of how they came about too; Norbar was created to produce high-accuracy torque wrenches for the gasket-less cylinder heads on Rolls-Royce Merlin engines for Spitfires. :)

Wow I never knew Nobar made torque wrenches for Wera. What strikes me, is that the Taiwanese made Wera torque wrench is $175 USD whereas the British made is only $200 USD.

I have 2 Norbar TW and they have a +- error of 3% vs. the standard 4% and that's important for me as a TW is a precision tool and you want the most accuracy you can afford to purchase. Quality is top notch and every year I take them in to have them calibrated they are spot on. Can't get better than that! Buy with confidence as it is a Family owned business in the UK.

Norbar are really good, that's all they make so it's real quality. They do supply other companies with torque wrenches so they're obviously doing something right.

More praise for Norbar from the choir.
I have a Griot's Garage rebranded Norbar.
Very nice torque wrench in my experience, my favorite.
(I've used many different brands, from Horrible Freight to Snap-On.)

We usually use Stahlwille torque wrenches at work during service.
On the project side to get everything up and going we usually have Snap On

Have seen the exact same model, but branded beta, being abused in our local tire shop.
Too low air pressure to break the lug nuts? Beat on torque wrench!
Universal torque setting for whatever vehicle you're working on? 200 Nm, ofcourse!
Rewind torque wrench to zero after you're done? ...

Here's mine.

Well, mine was never treated like that, the tire shop's beta one was.
But yeah, I've never had mine calibrated.
