We have matching vises, mine is a C1. Good luck finding a Chicago base. I got a later model base from autopts here on GJ.

It came to a good home. Going to fully restore it and put it into service. I think 1755 to C3 will fit every need I'll ever have so no more vise buying competition from me unless a baby comes up haha.

Scored a Wilton C3 for $150 today! C1 and 1755 for scale and no that is not a water bottle for ants.

Finished up the restore today. I didn't take a before but you can see the original state in the electrolysis tank. I decided to not shine up anything to leave the original patina. Thanks for all the info everyone, still looking for a base if anyone knows of one.

I already have a Tradesman on the bench but decided I couldn't pass this up. It is in pretty good condition but will need to be tore down, cleaned and greased. I'm most impressed with the way it locks up. The handle is straight down when the vise is fully tightened with no play after all these...
