O.K., I connected a different hose and still open trigger and release air, which empty's hose and have I to release trigger and allow the hose to fill with air. The compressor does not have to come on until the tank drops down. Should I disconnect the line going into the regulator to check also?

Nope, compressor stays off until the pressure gets low in tank. I will check with a different hose, I'll see if the neighbor has one. Let you know in a bit.

Hi everyone, finally registered here, gots mucho info, thought...why not. Browsing through the different threads, I have a question of my own. I think my compressor regulator is shot. When I use it, the tank fills up fine, no leaks anywhere. Let's just say I am blowing off parts, air shoots out...
