Tools that you thought were stupid to buy and now can’t live without.

Snap-on's current (USB-C) Neck Light with Removable Lights. Looks dumb as hell, super functional. Great for raves too.

Most Common Range: Hex / Torx on Cars?

Don't forget about modern Harleys that use T27. This is a great VESSEL set currently at an insane price of $32 for everything it covers. I bought one last night on Amazon. Bits are kind of on the short side, but they are longer than normal 1/4 hex bits. Including +1, +2, +3, SL4, SL6, SL8...

Allen-Bradley using JIS screw on 525 conduit boxes

I was going to ask if Allen-Bradley uses a JIS cross head screw on their Enclosure Conversions, but I found a picture of an older model enclosure that clearly shows a dot on the screw head. The screws I run into on the current "IP 30/NEMA 1/UL Type 1 – Frame A" do not have a dot...

Neck Lights... Anyone Have The Milwaukee?

I bought a Snap-on and I haven't even bothered using my Milwaukee 2115-21 headlamp. Because each side is removable you're literally carrying 2 lights. I hand my coworker one of my lights almost every day at work. Comfort wise I'm totally with darkzero I really hate wearing headlamps...

Got me a '03 Harley - Torx sizes??? When did they start using TorxPlus?

Hahahah thanks for the heads up Neggy. I knew the starters on all late 90's and up Harley's are ND just like any corolla and I knew about the SHOWA forks. Should I be buying Honda fork oil?!?!? I believe I remember seeing Nissin made the brake calipers too.

Got me a '03 Harley - Torx sizes??? When did they start using TorxPlus?

I'm shocked I grabbed a Eklind T-handle T-27 from work and it was as sloppy as a socketed Gearwrench Taiwanese T27. The SO socketed T27 was solid as a rock, nearly no play.

Got me a '03 Harley - Torx sizes??? When did they start using TorxPlus?

Good thing Hogs don't have seatbelts, doors, or Steering wheels (which I saw 'murican cars use security Torx head bolts on airbags)

    Favorite 1/4" ratchet.

Look at VIM's 1/4" dr locking roto ratchet. I personally only own the 3/8's version but love it (also GJ'er Mohawk Dave's favorite non long handle). Proto by FACOM stubby is my favorite regular 1/4" normal handle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002FCHDUG/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Cordless screwdriver recommendation for DIYer

Bosch 5-1 I see your price constraint, look up the Brushless model (which is the one I have and use at work). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084Q4143Y/?tag=atomicindus08-20 TIA did a review and I fully agreed with Eric and bought the Bosch the Milwaukees direction change button that requires...

Got me a '03 Harley - Torx sizes??? When did they start using TorxPlus?

Currently borrowing a T27 from a GJ'er Mohawk Dave. Just wanted to ask what sizes I will need. Funny I'm looking at Japanese Koken bits and sockets on https://palmac.net/ (the crappiest tool website in the world) they just happen to have the best stock of Koken in the US. They sell to all the...
