Wells Index told me they grind the spindle while still in the head. That's why you have to ship them the whole thing. This from the guy that actually does the grinding.

Two weeks ago, Wells Index quoted me $690.00 to grind a B&S 9 to R8. Plus shipping the whole head. Both ways.

    Where do I buy steel?

Do you have a local road construction company or county highway department? They may have grader blade take-offs that are hard AF, that you can pick up for cheap.

New Drill Press, Nova Voyager 5800

I've had one for over 3 years. Prices are @ $400.00 more than when I bought mine. Works very well. Auto start, and tapping options are very handy. one minor thing, spindle spins freely, so you have to hold on to it when adjusting the chuck for different size bits.

Truecraft Tools / Memories Of First Tools

What kind of circuits do you want to draw? For industrial control circuits, I use The Constructor from CMH Software. Allows you to design and test your circuits. Costs about $400

    My first machining tool

The threaded hole above the dovetail is for the threading stop. It clamps onto the dovetail, and a bolt goes through the stop and threads into that hole.
