low headroom track for normal height garages?

kj_mustang, I am in the middle of a shed/garage build with same size garage door. Is that the only option? I was under the impression that I would have room for the torsion spring to be above the door. Could a opener be used on that setup?

    Building near wellhead question

Appreciate the responses. I will be reaching out to a couple local well drilling companies to get there opinion as well. I am sure they would prefer as much room as possible. I was planning on building the shed on a pier foundation. The area tapers off away from the house pretty good...

    Building near wellhead question

Does anyone know what the general rule is for building near a private wellhead. I want to put a shed up near the house to keep my tractor in the winter. The only good place I have is between the house and wellhead. I have 20' between the house and wellhead and was hoping to put a 12' wide shed...

    Pole Frame Building Design Help

What about this 40X40X16 with 14X40 lean-to? The lean-to on the left will be my cold storage area and has a 10X8 garage door. I believe the roughly 13X39 inside dimensions of the lean-to will be adequate room for the boat and other misc. that I plan on storing in there. Inside the main...

    Pole Frame Building Design Help

I am hoping to put up a post frame building on my new property this fall or for sure next spring. Growing up on a farm, I have been around lots of different sizes and layouts of these buildings. I have always hoped to have a property where I would have a need and the resources to have one of...

    Driveway chime?

I have started to look into these for my new place. I will have a 1200' driveway and would like at least 2 sensors and 2 bases. Appreciate all the first hand experiences.

    Asphalt drive way sealer

I have just recently started to research this topic since my soon to be new house has a 1200' long asphalt driveway. I don't want to even think about what it would cost to replace that driveway and I know adding a layer of seal coat won't be cheap but I have to believe it will prolong the life...

    Attached Garage Storage Ideas.

Recently purchased a new house (close 8-10) and even though it has more square footage it doesn't have the storage space like my current house. I am looking into wall mounted storage shelfs for the attached garage. It will mainly be used to store totes of seasonal decorations, camping and...

    1/4" Hex Impact Bit Kit

I am looking for a good all in one bit kit for using with my 1/4" impact. Would really like a kit or maybe 2 that have everything from drill bits to sockets. I also would prefer not to have any of the bits used with the magnetic driver. I tend to misplace or lose these bits and they never seem...

Snowblower 2020 edition - simplicity ariens etc ?

I have a Toro CCR2450 that is going on 14 seasons and it has been absolutely great. Unfortunately it doesn't work very well on the end of driveway, plowed in snow and ice. I end up shoveling that if its to much for the Toro. I currently take care of 2 neighbors driveways plus my own with 2...

    HF44 bench design - for the non-welder

Great design. I am an automation machine builder and work with extrusion almost daily. I really like the stuff and have built 2 desks, 2 workbenches and a shelving unit out of extrusion for my area at work. I have butcher block tops on the desks and workbenches. Look into dust covers for the...

3D printing for accurate drill holes...

I have been doing this at work. I order drill bushings from McMaster and glue them in. I do a lot of work with 80/20 and the printed jigs work great. So far they have held up really well.
