Looking for threaded bushings for tilt plate

Again for the bottom end, you could get an axle bolt: https://www.mcmaster.com/Axle-Screws and drill and tap the shoulder for your threaded rod. On the other end, use a castle nut or nut with a pin through it. Sent from my Pixel 4a (5G) using Tapatalk

    Welding Bottle Prices

I was able to find a CO2 and oxygen bottle (both smaller than 80 cuft) from a kid selling off his departed father's plumbing tools. All Gas took them in trade for an 80 cuft argon bottle. I just had to pay for the fill. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Metal to fiberglass bonding

Marine tex epoxy. I use it whenever nothing else seems to stick. I know from experience doing boat repairs that it will bonny metal to fiberglass as permanent as fiberglass can be. Holds up to weather, salt, fuel. Good stuff, comes in white or grey. 2oz will set you back about $20, 14 oz ~$50...

    Reroute this AC wire?

This thread has turned into two seperate issues: 1 - the "scorched wire AC" & the twisted pair as I've come to discover, weren't scorched, but discolored due to some interaction with the paper backing on the fiberglass batting. I've also rerouted the AC wire to get it apart from the hot water...

    Reroute this AC wire?

The pipe insulation was being installed by me. That's how I noticed the discolored (singed?) wire. I'm not sure it's singed anymore or some sort of interaction between the paper on the fiberglass batting and the plastic insulation on the wire. Since I posted this originally, I'm finding other...

    Reroute this AC wire?

Ok, so the 3-wires/two breakers makes sense now. As a worst case situation in a circuit w/correctly sized breakers for the wire and both circuits loaded with 15 amps each, there'd actually be zero current in the nuetral since the two currents would be out of phase. Since I rewired the circuit...

    Reroute this AC wire?

Grey wire is another 120v line that I belive is original to the house. Though I have not checked it to the source or destination. And yeah, why the heel don't the guy run it along with that one. There's room along side it in the holes. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Reroute this AC wire?

Yup, and the twisted is for an old phone (landline) that's not used anymore. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Reroute this AC wire?

Don't care about the phone line, but the 120 is scorched. So the background is this; bought a 22yo house that was formerly inhabited by an electrician who does commercial high rise buildings in NYC. I've been fixing his "handy work" as I come across them (for instance he had a 14/3 wire...

    Clean Cut Saw Blade

Have you tried cutting from the back side so th blade is pulling the veneer towards the core instead of plucking the grain away? Or leaving abt 1/4"extra and taking a finish pass with a router? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Light and electrical question

I have an old Lincoln tombstone welder in my garage and that alone requires 240v, 50a. My compressor is a 3 hp 240v and requires a 30a breaker. The heater is 240v, 20amp that's barely adequate and I've only got a small 2-car garage. Then I've got the benches wired with 120v, 20 amps. Not that...

Rust Bullet / Epoxy Coating vs. Radon

Thanks jkeyser14, not necessarily going the diy route. But I sure like the idea of sealing the radon gas out, rather than blowing it out after it gets in. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
