I was able to find a CO2 and oxygen bottle (both smaller than 80 cuft) from a kid selling off his departed father's plumbing tools. All Gas took them in trade for an 80 cuft argon bottle. I just had to pay for the fill. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Marine tex epoxy. I use it whenever nothing else seems to stick. I know from experience doing boat repairs that it will bonny metal to fiberglass as permanent as fiberglass can be. Holds up to weather, salt, fuel. Good stuff, comes in white or grey. 2oz will set you back about $20, 14 oz ~$50...

This thread has turned into two seperate issues: 1 - the "scorched wire AC" & the twisted pair as I've come to discover, weren't scorched, but discolored due to some interaction with the paper backing on the fiberglass batting. I've also rerouted the AC wire to get it apart from the hot water...

The pipe insulation was being installed by me. That's how I noticed the discolored (singed?) wire. I'm not sure it's singed anymore or some sort of interaction between the paper on the fiberglass batting and the plastic insulation on the wire. Since I posted this originally, I'm finding other...

Ok, so the 3-wires/two breakers makes sense now. As a worst case situation in a circuit w/correctly sized breakers for the wire and both circuits loaded with 15 amps each, there'd actually be zero current in the nuetral since the two currents would be out of phase. Since I rewired the circuit...

I have an old Lincoln tombstone welder in my garage and that alone requires 240v, 50a. My compressor is a 3 hp 240v and requires a 30a breaker. The heater is 240v, 20amp that's barely adequate and I've only got a small 2-car garage. Then I've got the benches wired with 120v, 20 amps. Not that...
