    Garbage Can Drains

My HOA requires cans inside the garage except on pick up day... to my dismay, and they need to be cleaned/rinsed to prevent them from stinking. The blue one is the recycle bin, fairly manageable, but the actual garbage can is about twice that size. If I’m not home to collect the cans, they...

    Garbage Can Drains

Had a few minutes to add a convenience to my garbage cans... found these on Amazon: Drain Valve Plug Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074S8TSSG/?tag=atomicindus08-20 It took a 1.5 hole saw and 10 seconds at the bottom corner of my county provided receptacles. Great quality accessory, easy to...

So what do you wear when working on cars

I’m in Florida... I have designated athletic shorts, and t shirts, typically mechanics gloves, 3M safety eye wear (works as sunglasses as well), close toed shoes, eventually want to get steel toed tennis shoes Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Ceiling Or Wall Mounted Air Hose Real And Elect. Reel's ?

I have one hung in the center of the garage, and I also just have a loose hose to hook up when needed. I use a 2x6 to run between ceiling trusses to support the weight. Works great.

    Compressed air & pvc

What I was referring to was... "The Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association notes in their PPFA Bulletin #4-80 (10/79) "Compressed air or inert gases should never be used for pressure testing plastic piping systems."

    Compressed air & pvc

I look at it like this... can you put compressed air in a PVC pipe. Yep, and to the post above you'll find that manufacturers will say "Yep, it'll work". It doesn't mean that it's safe if there is damage to the pipe... Rapid air kit's aren't terrible in cost compared to copper... heck even...

    Used Air Compressor

I have a IR Garagemate... it's on the higher end, but it can keep up with most all home and automotive work I do. Also, I keep mine in a garage and it is fairly quiet with the factory filters.

How flexible/rigid is Rapid Air systems?

Yeah unless you can get a 3/4 maxline fitting in there to make the turn, I wouldn’t suggest bending it. It gives, but not that much.

    IR Garagemate Drain

I have a new garagemate and I am looking at the drain **** in the bottom of it. It looks a bit cheap and am thinking about replacing it with a better version. Anybody done so? Also, is there an internal tube that hangs in the bottom to drain all the water out? Or is there always going to be...

Need some advice on my Air compressor setup

Sounds like it’s a volume issue... I have a garagmate that I’m plumbing it with 3/4 maxline kit to add some capacity to the system. Also, it’ll scale if i go to a bigger unit in the future.

Recommend me a central vac for the garage?

I have had a GUV from Hoover and it’s a great unit, lots of power. No wet option, but it’s kind of a b*tch to get the bottom collector reattached after emptying. I like the bissell wet/dry option and the clear collector is great, my current shop vac is wet and dry, but no indicator that it’s...
