Agreed! His Instagram posts aren't anything like what we used to get here. Some family stuff and Citroen stuff from time to time, but not much garage stuff. Would love to see an update on how his place looks now!
To be clear, all of the drill bits are 3/8 and a bunch of the taps and reamers (probably 35 of the 89), but the rest is varying sizes. Agreed, there's more 3/8 stuff than most could ever use. Maybe I'll see if I can find a local bladesmith or blacksmith that could use the steel.
For $20 I'll just toss everything in the recycle bin. Too many crazies in this part of the world to make $20 it worth the hassle. I'm not saying I can't use $20, but I'm not willing to have some potential unhinged person come to my house for that or make a trip half way across town to a public...
Yeah, I'm not lucky enough to hit the jackpot, but am I looking at $50 or $500 for everything? Plan is to post them up on CL or Facebook for a fair price.
I haven't found exact matches, but figured I can pick up something similar from Irwin at the local hardware store for $8-$15 for most taps, other than the 1/2". I just don't know if these are "industrial" grade or hardware store grade. Maybe a better way to ask the question is, "what would you...
I have a giant box of mostly taps, some reamers and a ton of 3/8" bits. I've pulled out more than I'll ever use to keep. What you see below is what I'm not keeping and looking to purge, but I have no idea on the value. Looking for input. TIA (I have plenty of additional pics, but didn't want to...
Quad - I'm convinced the rabbit hole is moments away from being filled, because I'm also convinced Gregor is already 1/2 way through planning his own pizza oven build. I'm sure it'll have an adjustable CNC rotary table for perfect pizza placement, quad fuel (pellet, gas, electric and wood) and...
The Traeger definitely won't work, if you're looking for those temps. 410 or so is about where mine tops out. However, the crust comes out perfectly crisp, like a woodfire. I already have the Traeger so it fits the bill for now.
Of course, you'll eventually cave and build some amazing one-off...
That's the joy of the Traeger/pellet cookers. All you have to do is fill the hopper with pellets in the flavor of your choosing, turn it on to smoke for 10 minutes (pre-heat), then crank it up to 375, pop in your pizza and you're fully cooked in 15-20. No fire management required. It's about the...
My small contribution to the pizza (sub) topic of this thread... If you have a Traeger, it works amazing for pizza. Comes out tasting just like a wood fired pizza. It even works with frozen pizza. Oddly, for some reason, gluten free frozen pizza seems to take in the smoky flavor a bit more than...
Thanks Gregor! Funny you mention an old Milwaukee Sawzall - I bought an old one from a neighbor 15 years ago and he probably had it 10yrs before that. It's the only Milwaukee tool I have that is still fully operational and it has seen a lot of use and abuse over the years. I agree on the red...
Gregor - do you prefer Milwaukee over Dewalt? I've never had good luck with Milwaukee trigger switches, so I stopped buying them. I could be convinced it's time to start looking at them again over Dewalt. (please note to the larger collective - this is not intended as an invitation to start an M...
How true! My wife always tells me 80/20 rule on small projects around the house. I keep telling her, that is MY 80/20. Unfortunately, my 80/20 is 110/20 to a lot of folks.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have very few subscriptions on GJ and this is one of them. Whenever I get the notification in my email, I get all excited hoping that Luca has returned. This is the next best thing!
