Two Post Power Unit Side Preference

I believe most pros do it on the passenger side so you can pull in, swing arms on driver's side, go to/swing passenger side and then right up. About efficiency of movement/time. Mine is on the driver's side, but I'm not in a hurry and already had a post sort-of in the way there.

Atlas 2 post lift anchor spacing too close?

Never thought about that, but interesting since the Rotary model it's cloned after only has one anchor on that side. I've had my Apex-10 installed for a couple years, no issue with the three being there...I see your point though.

    Another 2 post lift thread.

The new Atlas looks like the Apex-10 with an upgraded power unit and new paint job.

    Septic drain field setback question

In Oregon, AFAIK the only way to shrink the drainfield is to go with an Alternative Treatment Technology(ATT). I have 150' total field, cap and fill due to high groundwater using an Advantex RT-20 system. They aren't cheap though, and it was my only option (ATT that is). That gets me 450gpd max...

Going to pull the trigger on a 2-post lift…what brands are good quality?

I have a GS Apex-10 and have been very happy with it. I wouldn't feel comfortable being under a non-ALI certified lift, and for my use (hobby) couldn't justify the additional cost of the Rotary. As it turns out, the Apex is a clone/knock-off of the Rotary, even the manual (mostly) matches up...

240v switch for my 7hp/60gal air compressor?

    2.98 KW output means it's a 4HP motor.

    Phase converter location.

If you're running a RPC I recommend putting the motor outside your shop on it's own isolated pad. I have a 20HP motor under a shed-roof doghouse built out of the same metal as my shop. When I turn it on all you can hear is the cycling of the relays. Mine is wired into a 4 circuit Siemens three...

Atlas Apex 10 two post lift

Looks good Dave! One item the manual doesn't cover and looks like you still need to do. On the long arm, pull out the small bolt on top, it will allow full extension; I think they do that so it doesn't shoot out in shipping.

Atlas Apex 10 two post lift

I installed my Apex-10 last year, great lift and only complaint is the manual (installed asymmetric). Poorly written and vague, but I found the Rotary manual covered all the pieces that GS misses, along with language of someone on our continent. The lift is built well, comes with the adapters...

    two post lift anchors.....and epoxy

If you have the Apex-10 model, download the Rotary instructions. Written in actual English.

    Another 2 post lift thread.

I've got an Apex-10, very happy with it, and nice that GSE is only 45 minutes away if I need parts. Personally i wouldn't walk under a lift that isn't ALI certified; having third-party verification influenced my decision greatly (why I didn't go with the PV series). I'm just down the valley in...

Do I really need a 7.5 hp compressor?

Seriously though, I do have a 7.5HP 80 gallon Champion (3 phase). Picked it up off CL, and had already planned to run a phase converter in my shop (Miller CP-300). If you already have 3ph, deals on industrial compressors can be found, but it's probably not worth the added expense to put it in...

New metal building with lift concrete slab questions

+1, exactly what I did. Fiber, dug out and reinforced where the columns would end up going prior to placing concrete. Atlas Apex-10 installed, couldn't be happier, creeper is retired.
