Sounds like you might have ended up vacuuming out the entire system (not just the line set) so the system is no longer charged.

As far as warranty is concerned: the Mr. Cool warranty cards on the back ask for HVAC technician cert number, not EPA. I imagine just putting EPA cert wouldn't do it. As others have said, not sure the warranty is really more than $200 or so on an $800 unit.

By way of update, my order placed Monday just shipped. A bit slow, but within their 3 business day promised window.

That's a bit troubling as I ordered a 24k yesterday. Fingers crossed they were just on backorder two weeks ago. You can also order them from Home Depot.
