    Socket sets without the extras?

RunninOnEmpty: That is PERFECT. Never had a set of SK Tools but I heard some good stuff! Gonna look through their catalog, it's a shame to go through all that trouble of importing tools just to buy ONE set... Again...THANK YOU!

    Socket sets without the extras?

Yeah, something in that range would be perfect! I'd say new is a must. I'm specifically looking for a boxed set without the extras due to size constraints, but also because I have a full set already from Facom in my rolling cabinet (in a tray) and need something for grab 'n go. I'd say that...

    Socket sets without the extras?

Hi everyone! I'm in need of a metric and SAE set of sockets...but all I can find are sets that include (at best!) ratchets, extensions etc OR nothing that is boxed/in a case. Can anyone please recomend a set that: - includes ONLY sockets in 1/4 drive (SAE and metric, does not need to be in the...

    ear protection

I currently use Peltor electronic hearing protection while shooting, and I use the same ones when I use any tool above the comfort level. For those that like gadgets, but gadgets that work, I recommend these: - inexpensive - comfortable - helmet compatible - allow normal conversation - no...

Toptul or Bahco? What system to invest in?

Dont want to bug everyone with another thread, so here goes: Bahco or Facom? Plus for Facom: - I like the Facom Jet+ trolley A LOT more than the Bahco, really nice quality - My Facom sales rep gave me a lower price on equivalent tools to the Bahco range (roughly 20% lower) - Facom = Stanley =...

Toptul or Bahco? What system to invest in?

I was also thinking about Facom after I saw their new Jet+ trolley... And the sales rep gave me a better price than for some Bahco stuff! This is turning into an addiction quicker than I thought. Got a Milwaukee M12 impact wrench on order, and I'm itching for some Wera ratchets...

    broke my $135 Hazet socket!

Reminds me of the time I had to put a pipe on a breaker bar, and jump on it to remove a wheel. No impact would budge them... Now when I go to change tires I bring my own torque wrench along and do it myself...

Toptul or Bahco? What system to invest in?

I guess you are right. Neither Bahco or Toptul carry everything I would need/want. And sometimes there are good deals to be had on other stuff.... How would I keep it all organized in my tool trolley? I know there are inserts for sockets, but any for wrenches, screwdrivers etc? The majority...

Toptul or Bahco? What system to invest in?

Hi everyone, I want to make my first big tool purchase, and I am stuck between Toptul, and Bahco. Either system I choose, I will be starting out with a set of Wera ratchets in foam inserts (their 3/8, 1/2 and 1/4 sets) The rest will be Toptul or Bahco. Toptul is cheaper, sometimes half price...

    Hello from Poland

Hi everyone, Just wanted to say hi, after some browsing this forum, I finally joined. I'm not a mechanic or someone who really lives from their tools, but I am someone who grew up around cars and constuction, and I appreciate quality tools. I'm a DIY user, around the house and cars of the...
