    About Quickjack

Thank you very much. That's wonderful to know that the Quickjack does a wonderful job. Seems a lot more nicer than having to use traditional jackstands.

Buying a house with detached garage

I'm really wanting to get a house with a detached garage. Should I tear down the garage and build a new garage that has a taller ceiling and taller garage door? Or should I keep existing garage and make the walls 2' higher and make the garage door '1 taller?

About building a garage that's 30' deep. should garage doors be 8' tall or 10' tall?

Your all wondering what I plan on putting in my garage. The one bay is for my daily driver and other summertime car that I would like to have. Which would be a BMW Z-4. Get a four post lift and stack another car, which would be a 05-12 Porsche 911 on top of the BMW Z-4. The other garage bay I...

About building a garage that's 30' deep. should garage doors be 8' tall or 10' tall?

I'm wanting to build a garage that's 54' wide and 30' deep. To have raised scissor trusses. That way I can have a two post lift in the garage. On the front of the garage would two 18' garage doors. Debating on whether to go with 8'tall or 10' tall garage doors?

US General vs Homak tool box

The Homak 54" RS Pro vs US General 56" Series 3. I should've been more specific. I outgrew my older Craftsman 26 1/2" tool box. All of my tools are buried in it.

    Height vs length of shop?

Nothing is worser than leaving a boat outside with no cover on. The stringers and transom will rot out. The seats and gauges will look horrible. I'm also very caring about boats. If boat is not being used have the cockpit cover on. Along with the full cover. When towing the boat have the cockpit...

    Height vs length of shop?

Thank you for the responses. I'll go with a 48' deep garage with 14' ceiling. Still have the garage be 60' wide. With two 12' tall by 14' garage doors. With having a 14' ceiling it would allow me to lift a truck all the way up on a two post lift. Plus there would be more space between the bow of...

    Height vs length of shop?

To store a boat in the one garage door which would be 19-23- long. The other garage door to put a vehicle in that I can work on. To have a two post lift in that stall. Both garage doors would be 14' wide. The spare space on the side would be a utility room, shop sink, bathroom with shower...

    Height vs length of shop?

In the near future I would like to build a shop. Both the shops would be 60' wide. With the roof pitch going along the width of garage. Which would be a 4/12 roof pitch. I also want to build a one story house with a steep roof pitches. That way the shop wouldn't be taller than the house. I was...

Comparing two types of attched garages to the house

I'm going to stick with the three 12' wide garage doors. The reason I had the garage doors be 12' wide. it to fit car lifts in each of the three bays. The one bay would have a two post lift, to work on cars. The other two bays would have 4 post lifts. I can stack a collector car above my car...

Comparing two types of attched garages to the house

On each end of the narrower garage theres 6' from the garage door to the wall. There's 3' between the garage doors for the 2 18' wide garage doors. For the 3 12' wide garage doors there's 3' between each garage door. On the garage door side at each end there's 6' till you get to the wall. I...
