Extra Long vs Standard 4 Post Lift - Maximize Garage Space?

This place looks awful familiar. By chance, did you have some sort of TBU gathering recently? Do any of these vehicles do burn outs? :)

Direct Lift Pro Park 9 Plus or Tuxedo FP9

I'm interested in the FP9K-DX-XLT. Any other issues, Rod?

Direct Lift Pro Park 9 Plus or Tuxedo FP9

I think it might have changed. I would need to call to verify. https://tuxedoautoequip.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/FP9K-DX-XLT.pdf There's a good possibility we might not make it to your house after the cruise. If we leave RJ at home we'll want to head back home as soon as the event is...

Direct Lift Pro Park 9 Plus or Tuxedo FP9

Thanks Rod. Can you show me a picture if what you are describing for the lock release linkages? I want to make sure I'm looking at the same thing.

Direct Lift Pro Park 9 Plus or Tuxedo FP9

I missed out on the Direct Lift $700 rebate so we just punted for now. It appears the Tuxedo lift has the same specs with a cheaper price. It goes back to my question of do you spend the extra or same the extra. Like Viper98912 mentioned, I wonder if most of these lifts are made by the same...

    4 post lift prices.

I never thought to check Lowes. Price is cheaper, also. Thanks.

    4 post lift prices.

It would appear you are happy with your Tuxedo 9000. I've been looking at the same Tuxedo and a Direct Lift Pro Park 9 Plus. Very similar is specs but the Tuxedo is cheaper at $5,200 versus $6,500. I have found the Direct Lift as cheap as $5,900 but then shipping kills the deal with over $1k...

    4 post lift decision

True. I just looked and BendPak and Dannmar both make a boxed version. I was looking about 2 years ago and didn't find much with that boxed design. I'll have to look at Advantage and compare. Thanks again.

    4 post lift decision

No one has mentioned WildFire Lifts. They seem to have a different design for lifting. A boxed section over the posts. I don't believe I have seen this design on any other lift I have viewed. RaceCougar, does that Cougar have a hopped up 4 cylinder with a turbo in it? Looks fast.

Garage Door and High Lift Tracks

Thank you. I figured something was different. Sure would be nice to just use the current spring and drum. That would bring down the cost. I was quoted from $700 - $1800 to do this work. This was from four different companies. One was $700 with two being $1000 and the other being $1800...

Garage Door and High Lift Tracks

I'm having High Lift tracks installed on one of our garage doors. Just trying to educate myself some. What's being installed. Replacement spring (the one on a rod with pulleys on the end) Replacement pulleys New cables High Lift Tracks Is the replacement spring/pulleys needed because the...

asymmetric vs symmetric 2 post question

Question about the symmetrical lift. Do you have to position the car exactly in the center of the posts? Or can you position the car where your door is just ahead of the posts so that the door opens fully? This would mean that your car is not centered 50/50 between the posts. Maybe that's...

2 Post Lift - Best to Worst List

I understand the different opinions but was hoping to see some comments like below: * The baseplate on X brand is 2 times bigger than Y brand. * Brand X uses a 3" pulley versus the 4.5" pulley on Brand Y. * Brand Y uses an S column design versus Brand Z with their C channel design. The S...

2 Post Lift - Best to Worst List

Is there a post somewhere that breaks down the companies on their 2 post lifts? Before I buy one I want to know the companies to buy from and the companies to stay away from. Something like: 9K 2 Post * Rotary * Mohawk * Bendpak * Challenger * Launch * AutoLift 10K 2 Post * Rotary * Mohawk...
