It looks to me that 4 post lift prices are coming down a bit. Still not at the old level from a couple of years ago, but looks like they are down some. You all seeing the same? If that is the case then perhaps I should wait a few months to buy one.

Got a high lift kit and a Jackshaft opener installed today, so l am ready to get a lift. But, if the prices are really coming down then I can wait a bit.

Timing the stock market doesn’t work long term. I would put tools and lifts in that category too.

it’s not like potatoes or sweet corn that are cheap around harvest time. Tools and lifts have a long term price with an upward slope. The exception might be low cost welders where there are a lot of new players at that end of the market driving prices down.

Freight costs have dropped a lot and are probably as low as they will go. There is no other part of it that is getting cheaper.

If you want one, buy it. We will never see deflation that brings pricing back to pre pandemic levels, and if we did, buying a lift wouldn't be a concern. Food would be

From a quick glance, it looks like prices have dropped significantly. I'm with the others above; if you want a lift, I'd buy one now rather than wait and potentially miss the bottom of the pricing curve.

Maybe some, but I bought a Direct Lift Pro Park 8 back in the middle of Covid, Jul of 2021 for just under $3500, and that was after watching them bump it from $2999. Now its $4500 with a $300 rebate.

Bought my Advantage 3-4months ago, agree with others, don't wait and just buy it.
I just contacted Advantage for a quote and they came back with the same amount listed on their website. ($5995 for a DX-9000-XLT and $1795 for an air bridge jack). Did you find that they offered any discounts when getting yours?

Once it’s installed and in use, you’ll quickly forget the stress you put yourself through trying to find the best deal.

When I got my Advantage lifts, I recall that they priced them at the “show price “ which was a little less than the website price. I bought two, though, a 9000 and an 11000, plus the air jack.

Wildfire offers essentially the same 9000 lb lift, at a similar price, but didn’t offer the 11k when I was looking.

You can save more by picking it up at the warehouse and avoiding shipping charges than by dickering over price.

I located a distributor close to me for Tuxedo lifts. Also spoke with a guy who delivers them. I have some work travel over next two weeks, but when I am back I will get it delivered.

No they rarely offer discounts, only discounts they seem to offer anymore is at the GoodGuys events and buy the display model. They don't want to load it back up, take it home and you can get several hundred off the retail price.

When I was first looking at lifts back in 2014 I was guoted around $2k for a 2 post Atlas. That same lift now sells for $3700. I have yet to see prices come down up here. When I saw I how much they want for a MaxJax here now I almost fell out of my chair lol.

I live just west of Martinsville in Virginia, I see you are in the triad area of NC, I am about 1 hour north of Greensboro, NC. Who is the distributor you found in your area, & who is the guy who will deliver it to you? I am looking to get a 4-post lift. Are you going to assemble it yourself? If you would rather not post the info here you can send me a private message. Thank you.

Wow, the tuxedo 8000 that I am getting is a lot cheaper than this.

The prices I posted were for the Tuxedo XLT which is what I ended up with.

After watching some videos on the 8000 and 9000 as well as comparing the specs I went with the 9000. You can see them side by side in the videos and the 9000 is alot beefier. It also has the lock release cables run inside the channel as well the main cables are tucked into the columns. The 9000 is a bit wider so it may not work as well for those with space issues.
I've only had it a few weeks but really happy with it so far. I was able to put it together myself with the help of a engine hoist, floor jack, dollies, and some unique rigging with straps and a come-along. I did it slowly over several days but figure I had about 15 hours in it from sitting on the trailer to leveled out and operational.

Yes. When I finally pulled the trigger on my Direct Lift 5 years ago, I had probably spent a year shopping and comparing, even keeping a spreadsheet of prices/options/shipping costs for all the major manufacturers.

Now that it's up and installed, I couldn't tell you what it cost without going back to the old invoices.

I ordered the Tuxedo 8000 lbs. (FP8K-DX) lift from a local distributor on Monday. He coordinated delivery and installation. They installed it this morning; only took the installers 2 1/2 hours to install. It came with steel ramps, casters, 3 drip trays and 1 jack tray. I also bought a rolling jack with the lift.

No more jackstands and ramps! I am happy about it.

It would appear you are happy with your Tuxedo 9000. I've been looking at the same Tuxedo and a Direct Lift Pro Park 9 Plus. Very similar is specs but the Tuxedo is cheaper at $5,200 versus $6,500. I have found the Direct Lift as cheap as $5,900 but then shipping kills the deal with over $1k in shipping costs.

Back to lifts. Did you do any comparisons on different brands? With the price difference I'm wondering if the cheaper route is the way to go or if ponying up the cash for the Direct Lift is a wise decision.

Congrats on the lift, it fits nicely in the space. The installers can sure make quick work of it, I'm a bit stubborn and like a challenge. I spoke a bit with the guy I got mine from and he said he does sells alot of the 8k and he has a guy that can put them together by himself pretty quick but the guy struggled a bit more with a the 9k.

I was happy with the build quality and the install was pretty smooth. The instructions were not the best but I've seen much worse with items from China. I did watch a few videos of others putting them together so I had a pretty good idea.

I did not look at any other lifts in person just researched stuff online thru company websites and youtube videos. For the price I got on the lift I don't think anyone else could beat it.

Right now it is on sale at Lowes for $4679.99 but the jack is not as cheap as I have seen it on sale for there. I never fully checked but it seems you may be able to have it delivered to a local store and either pick up there or have the third party flatbed drivers deliver it for extra and they usually have forklifts on them. Some of the other brands they sell look to be sent directly from the suppliers so are not available for store pickup. It would be even better if you are military and they honor the 10% discount on it, I know they stopped doing it on alot of appliances and other items in the store.
