I will now pass it on to the homeowner and make the necessary repairs and renovation of the kitchen.
(They have tile in kitchen) and want to continue the wood floor throughout.

I can easily “rip out” the flooring and replace with new.

A product called common maker was also suggested to me by a co worker.
Didn‘t think this was going to be such a hassle.
Yes it works with the old thermos.
I put the wires back to the original wiring.
Everything works as it should with the old thermos wired with just the red and white wires.
