Ive got the quarter inch in orange... My driver has a bunch of hard handles on his truck.
Im contemplating getting a 3/8 in orange as well. Makes it a lot eaiser to see when i drop it into the abyss

Honestly no. Ive always used a regular impact socket on my former bmw. At my dealership, i dont know if any of our used techs or lube techs have specialty sockets.

It may be because in the usa a lot of the industrial machines are sae (at least in my tiny amount of experience repairing a few press brakes and strippits)?
Maybe proto has some in metric?

Yup. The sae variant to the metrics i ordered.
I like the cases too, easy to stay organized and make sure you leave with all your shiz when you have to go out to the salvage or a friends haus.

Ive been using the 3/8ths tektons. And they have held up well. Even used them with an adapter on my 1/2” IR 20v impact, they busted off some pretty gnarly exhaust bolts today. Theyve held up so well i ordered the 1/2" sets in metric before i left the salvage yard lol..

I got the DeWalt 20v impact driver too along with the drill as a Christmas gift. Used it a hand full of times so far. Put 3" wood screws in some door frames like butter.

Required? No. Time saver? Most definitely. I have a 1/4” hex impact, 3/8" and half inch.
Having the 3/8 saved me an hour or so pulling a timing cover on my s10.

I have the gb40 and I used it to start my k5 when it was 5 degrees out, had to use the over ride as the truck had been sitting for 3 weeks in what I consider cold (for Oklahoma at least).
Battery was so dead even the dome light wouldn't come on lol
