I am looking for storage ideas

That engine is toast. Long story short my kid pulled it out and took it apart to see the insides and how it works. He has plans to rebuild it some day.... meanwhile it sits in my garage... Hes got 2 jeeps, trailer, 4 wheelers, and a daily driver truck he works on all the time. I love his...

Ideas like the vertical slide out drawers, small cubby holes etc are what I am looking for. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I am looking for storage ideas

I already have a 10 x 10 storage shed out back. We have plans in the next year or two to do a detached workshop. Im looking to see how people store misc small items. I like the drawers for fasteners, electrical parts etc. I am also looking at something for all those bottles of car cleaning...

I am looking for storage ideas

At one point my son wanted to keep one side open so he could work on cars but hes kind of given up on that. Longer term plans include a carport on the side of the house and eventually building a full garage/workshop. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Installine POE Cameras

If you have to trench a line just for the camera, look at Ubiquiti wireless. If you are already running power/communications for the gate, this may not apply. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Installine POE Cameras

I would not run coax for any ip cameras. That's just going backwards. CAT5 is rated for around 328'. There is nothing that shuts it off after that. It is also rated at that distance for a certain wattage. However most of the cameras being discussed are never going to use the full rated wattage...

    Installine POE Cameras

I own a security company and we install cameras, access control, etc. POE is Power over Ethernet. A CAT5/6 cable has 8 wires or 4 pair. Orange, green, blue and brown and orange/white, green/white, etc. Data is usually carried over 2 pair, and the other pair are unused in most applications. So...

Door opener safety beam doesn't work!

Photo beams work by the beam being broken and the signal not coming back. If the eyes are dirty, wires broken, etc it should stop the gate. It's all fun until someone's kid gets pinned under a door. They have those in place for a reason. Sent from my iPad using The Garage Journal mobile app

    Bifold Gate Hardware

We install automated gates. We actually sub it out but I have taken several classes. I have never seen a design like yours. Usually we would just use two leaves with operators on each side. One problem is you have a crush or pinch point between the leaves when the gate folds. An edge or...

    Installine POE Cameras

As stated you'll need a POE injector. Also different cameras use different browsers. Most require Internet explorer. Some use chrome. Scan tools like Sadp usually only work for their products as they search by MAC address. Sent from my iPad using The Garage Journal mobile app

Can't See Garage Door - Anything to Know It's Shut

Yes. I own a security company and a smart home would do that. We use alarm.com as our alarm platform. You can control garage doors, dead bolts, t stats, lights etc from one app and set up several rules. The qolsys is a great diy panel. Little expensive but it's a lot of bang for the buck. Then...

    Storing equipment outside under porch?

We live on a corner lot with the backyard being seen from the street until we can put up a privacy fence. This area also faces the neighbor's driveway since the house is at an angle. I don't want the neighbor to have to look at my son's Jeep parts, lawnmowers etc. I haven't parked a car in a...
