    Stihl & Husqvarna chainsaws

I’ve had about 4-500 saws thru my shop over the past 15 years. Started picking them up cheap, rebuild the carb sharpen the chain and sell them for a few bucks back when I had not a lot of cash substitute teaching. As far as the stihl vs Husky debate goes it’s simple. Both have made legendary...

Is an air chisel a worthwhile purchase?

I have one, real old got with a bunch of tools in a tool chest I acquired. I’ve only used it once when I was de-scaling and re-enforcing the frame on my 84 c30. Made short work of heavy rust also will find weak spots fast.

How important is country of origin to you?

My wheel horse has 12hp cast iron Koehler it mows and bags better than my neighbors new tractors with 8-10 hp more. With the dozer blade I’ve graded yards and pushed deep snow pulled stumps. With the low amp drills I suspect the torque is achieved through gears.

Snap on, S-k, Mac were out of the question but I wasn’t going to buy some Chinese junk either. Back...
