I am new to the site but not to tools. I run the upper grounds at a small private highschool. We have a small crew and we do everything from mowing and field painting to metal fabrication and tractor repair. I have more experience in mechanic work, trucks, tractors small engine. But I’ve remodeled bedrooms one bathroom and currently my shop is a bit of a mess from the deck project I’m in the middle of. I rebuild lots of chainsaws and run or sell. We also go off road in the dunes and ice fish in the winter, fresh or saltwater in the summer. One of my benches an the stuff I’m using on the deck09CD2CD6-FA2E-45BC-908E-19A4D83BFE7E.jpegEF19D7E1-9F0C-4252-8435-3719DF5561F3.jpeg

That bench is a center piece, it’s a pexto stake plate bench. Has 2 machined cast iron anvil plates that different stakes lock into. Made for metal working. The rest of the bench is 2”x2” maple held with threaded rod and angle iron sided. 48”x96” and 350lbs + with both plates in. My old highschool was torn down and it was scheduled for the trash along with some other great stuff. Luckily I got up there and loaded my stakebody in time.

Welcome Aboard from the shore of San Diego Bay. Your Northeast workshop compliments my Southwest location.
