I’ve got no problem with that. Just want everything put away and not covered with grinding dust like they have been on my open shelves. :) -G

    NewAge Cabinets reviews and tips

I’ve actually come up with something I like... White/Platinum color doesn’t offer a tall upper cabinet so I’m using a base cab installed deeper than normal to preserve a normal setback on the uppers vs.lowers. -G

    NewAge Cabinets reviews and tips

This is all really cool.... Is there a link to actual cabinet mechanical drawings that show box height, height of wheels (or standard feet with adjusters) and so on? Using a lower base as an upper means that you'd end up with a sliding drawer up top instead of a fixed shelf (which could be...

    NewAge Cabinets reviews and tips

John, Do people ever use the 2-door base cabinets as a “tall upper”? I realize they are 22” deep vs 14” of the typical uppers. Since I’m building out the lower portion of my wall anyway this might not be much of an issue for me. I can just install the uppers against the original wall to give...

    NewAge Cabinets reviews and tips

Hi John, We've been exchanging a few emails over the last 24 hours and I'm getting excited to get my order finalized! The photos here of the white/platinum Pro 3.0 series really have me questioning whether I should change to that color. They look AMAZING! Is there such a thing as a "tall...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I would commit murder for 900 sq ft! :) My "space" is 1/2 of a two-car garage.... and the vehicle I am working on is on jackstands in the middle of it. A garage day for me involves sweet-talking the missus into moving her car out of the other bay so that I can allow my tools and materials to...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Scott, You know.....the whole time while I was struggling to hold 1/2 a vise in my bare hand with a drill in the other and keep everything straight I kept mumbling to myself: "This would be much easier if I had a vise!" :D Catch-22..... though it looks like most of the guys in this thread...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I'd like to give a quick shout out to GJB member "KMScott"... He sent me a nice set of replacement jaws for my mystery-vise, and with a bit of finessing I was able to get away from the oddball 3-3/4" bolthole spacing and convert it to the Wilton-standard 4" spacing. I can't describe how...

Actual photo and dimensions.... Not sure if any vendors sell this configuration or not? -G

    !! PICS !! - Is this a Wilton Vise?

Well, good news bad news I guess..... The jaws appear to be a standard width (6") and are 1" tall, but the hole spacing is 3-3/4"..... Not 4". I'm not sure how common this is to find... Or how expensive? The vise is a bit sloppy when I draw the jaws together.... The moveable jaw ends up...

    !! PICS !! - Is this a Wilton Vise?

Thanks to all! :) Let me take a closer look at the jaws that are on this vise when I get home tonight. I'll pull some dimensions of the overall size and hole spacing and post up what I find out. -G (aka: Greg)

    !! PICS !! - Is this a Wilton Vise?

Joe B. Thanks for the help. Your comments lead me to the Vises of GJB thread..... only 178 pages of reading left to go!!! My photos show both sides of the vise, and it doesn't say Taskmaster on either side. Just "Mechanic 600"... the Taskmaster does have the blunt end on it, and the...

    !! PICS !! - Is this a Wilton Vise?

Bummer. Do you think the replacement jaws for a Wilton are likely to fit on a clone? Are the jaw dimensions and hole spacings pretty universal? Thanks! -G

    !! PICS !! - Is this a Wilton Vise?

Hey All, My Google-Fu is failing me.... I'm trying to locate a set of replacement jaws for this vise and can't seem to make any headway on my search. The sites I've found referencing a "600" series Wilton usually show the ones with the bullet-shaped tail section. This one is...
