This is how I store some of mine. They were originally sold at HF, I got them off CL.

I've always used a piece of rubber hose pushed on to the top of the plug. It allows me to feel the threads by hand. Then I put a socket on it. I also have a Chevy 1500 with V8.

Is there a Knipex counterfeit problem substantial enough to resort to Knipex direct? If not, see above ^.

When I need an inspection mirror larger than the telescoping one I have in the toolbox, I use an old motorcycle mirror threaded into a piece of aluminum rod. To get a good image, make sure it isn't a convex mirror.
