    HF 5lbs Vibratory Tumbler Media

Steve P, primary function is to restore small parts on old cars and carbs, so yes I want to save the original. Don’t really want brightener in my zinc tanks so I’d like to polish before yellow chromate for the few times I want a shiny yellow. Will require mostly dull yellow for what him...

    HF 5lbs Vibratory Tumbler Media

I already have a large blast cabinet but I am considering this unit for two specific tasks and I would like to hear from experience on media types for each task. The first is cleaning and removing rust from small nuts and bolts. Manual says I can use aluminum oxide which I run in my cabinet...

    Liftmaster 8500 major security flaw

You are more than welcome to come over and inspect it. Did a police report and the policeman said he’d never seen anything like this. My goal was simple in posting this, I learnt a lot from something and wanted to share for others to protect themselves. Anyone who has a 8500 can simply look...

    Liftmaster 8500 major security flaw

Absolutely right, you can even slide a coat hanger in and slide up until you hit it. I’m convinced now I can open on of these without any damage or trace.

    Liftmaster 8500 major security flaw

Was off line for a few days and I’ll answer a few questions. My garage has a flaw of a side door with window and a window beside that so no brainer in retrospect, someone could easily see the lock. System with new door was professionally installed and as someone pointed out most installers use...

    Liftmaster 8500 major security flaw

Luckily my alarm scarred them! Haven't done full inventory but a good look over seems like nothing is gone.

    Liftmaster 8500 major security flaw

Yeah, I guess its a catch 22 but I'm sure the pros all know. Goal is for people to protect themselves and Liftmaster to fix this. I'm going to see if I can weld a plate and cover the angle withouth interfeering with the track wheels.

    Liftmaster 8500 major security flaw

I don't know if this has been reported and I know the 8500 is a popular garage door opener. Unfortunately I got broken into last night, the ease of how they bypassed the door lock left me stunned. Hopefully you will see and learn from my pictures and take steps to protect your own property...

    Media Blasting Cabinet Issues

I have an industrial unit slightly smaller than yours and only have a few cups of media in it at a time. I can't imagine loading it with 100lbs. Make sure you use high flow couplings, try reducing pressure. My unit does pulse at times but I don't think it's running out of media, possibly...

Anyone ever use a bio-circle parts washer?

There's a new product out by Walter now called CB100, requires no heat and is very low evaporation. I'm just starting to use it now, so far I'm very impressed. Very pleasant smell and easy on the hands. So far I've soaked some part overnight and they came out like new. More to follow as I...

Parts washers - solvent v. water v. bio

I recently ordered the Bio-Circle Clean Box Flow as varsol and others make me sick. I should have it in a week or two and I will report back if it's efficient or not. One things for sure is that the technology in these cleaners is rapidly evolving as more chemical based cleaners are being banned.

    I blame Jack

There is a banding, once the wood top is on the wood edge covers the steel also stops the top from being able to slide off. If I remember the top is 1" thick plus a 1/2" band. It ends up the same thickness as the work bench.

    I blame Jack

You can see it in the sixth picture to the right of the framed garage. It will now provide shade when I work outside of the garage side door. The idea behind that door is to open it up in summer and be able to work outside in the yard, otherwise like most set-ups you end up working in your...

    Scissor lift ... downside??

My lift does this and I believe all double scissor lifts do it. You basically have a valve you shut off and only one lift operates, it does make a great height adjustable work table.
