    Woodburner... period.

Does Ardent Oak sound right? It's cast into the front with a "No.15" lower down. On the back it says "the Auto Stove Works - New Athens, Ill." I'll be running double wall pipe all the way I think. I'm thinking of putting up a brick surround against the wall just to be safe. Any advice on this...

    Woodburner... period.

Whew! Thanks for all the info Roospike. That's alot to take in all at once. I'm wondering how you are measuring the 18" from the floor. I mean, from what to what? I can tell from your pics that it's not from the very bottom of the stove. Also, how far should the chimmney pipe be from the ceiling...

    Woodburner... period.

I going to run a woodburner in my garage. I'm not sure just what I should do to put in a chimmney. The garage is new, 25' x 25', with 9' ceilings on the lower floor. When I say I don't know what I should do, I mean I don't know what to do! Should I insulate around the chimmney? How close should...

    corrugated metal on the walls?

You have to click on the upper too bar: agricultural products, residential products, etc. and then just pick which one your after. I found corrugated on the site, but the picture doesn't seem to match the description. I hope this is just a web mistake.. I'll give them a call, thanks Mattlt.

    corrugated metal on the walls?

I like the idea of using corragated metal to cover the walls and ceiling. I do alot of metal work and I like that there's no way it will catch fire and I also like the industrial look. But I'm worried about a few things... 1. Is it noisy as hell with just metal covering the walls? 2. I live in...

    a NEW lighting question!

I like the seperator idea. I hadn't really thought about that, but I suppose it would keep the walls from being stark white without absorbing too much light.

    a NEW lighting question!

I actually thought to do a search before I asked a question! This is a personal victory for me as it is not in my nature to find the information myself if I think I could just ask someone. New Years resolution #1! Only problem... I didn't quite find what I was looking for. I am wondering about...

Bitchin, I often wonder what you fellas do for storage. My woman lived in London for 6 months and enjoys telling me how lucky we are to have so much room.

    upstairs...

Thanks for all the input. I suppose heat does rise, and if I didn't insulate the floor between it would get pretty warm up there even if I did have a door to the steps. I wonder if it would really be neccesary to have a seperate heater up there since I'll almost never use the up and not the...

    Lights, Sheetrock, Action!!!!!

Are Lumens rated on a curve? What I mean is, if I could find a bulb rated at 1 watt but 10000 lumens, would it give off as much light as a bulb rated at 1000 wats and 10000 lumens?

    upstairs...

My new garage has a second story... I guess most people would call this the attic but it has 6.5' ceilings, is 15'x25', and has the beginnings of a permanent set of stairs. I want to finish the stairs, and make the upastairs the sitting area. I'm in MN and I'm wondering how important it might be...

    Killer!

I've been on the HAMB for a while, and I just got a new 25' x 25' garage (pretty big for the city) with a second story. I was talking to a buddy of mine about what I'd like to do to finish it, and he asks me if I've ever been to garage journal. He told me there was alot of cool stuff here and...
