looks like you need some insulation on the sides by the garage door frame as well........

My big maxx heater came with a thermostat. It works but it is kind of hard to read at some angles.

I am not sure where they come up with that 1.5 car garage number.... But any who, I insulated my ceiling today. Turned out pretty slick, i blew it in myself. I calculated about a R value of 20 ish. I will have to see how that works while the weather seems to be getting pretty cold over...

I set my heater on top of a table saw standing up in the back of my pickup truck and a friend for my 50k big maxx. Pretty easy.

i would say your border line....... just becuase of the tall ceilings id probably go with the 75k and a ceiling fan for sure

yes. that is the cheapest i've really seen the 50k maxx. in WI they sell at 430 and 400 on sale

I recently got some risers from eBay. I paid 130$ shipped for two 3/4" risers. My local supply company wanted 150$ each. You might wanna keep your eyes peeled on the eBay if your not in a huge hurry to get them some might pop up! Good luck!

i just did a horizontal vent with a 50k big maxx. i used a vinyl mounting block and have my thimble through that. i really should post some pics!

i just got a mr heater 50k unit for 400$ out the door from a local lowes.......in the process of finishing my gas line then we will see! i will definately report back once its fired up. its already getting cold here!

i just did a horizontal vent on my garage. i also researched it to death. i opted to to a horizontal because it was much easier for me to do by myself. didnt really wanna go up on the roof, in the attic back and forth yada yada yada.
