Snap-On PH3050B seems to be hitting light

It was the built-in regulator! It was set to “I” and I turned it to “IIII.” The thing jumped out of my hand after I fixed it. I have now successfully driven out two exhaust flange studs and, using the Mayhew Shake-N-Break, freed a stuck nut without twisting off the stud. I love this thing! I’ll...

Snap-On PH3050B seems to be hitting light

I purchased a second hand Snap-On PH3050B. I tried it at 90 psi, but it seemed to be striking really lightly. When I cranked up the pressure it got better, but it didn't have the power I expected. Any pointers?

Best tool to pull a rotor without damage

The Express rotors are secured solely by the wheels and lug nuts. Some GM vehicles use fasteners to secure the rotor directly, but not a set screw as far as I know. I have a GMC Yukon with large torx head screws that secure the rotors.

Best tool to pull a rotor without damage

Wow! Thanks for all the feedback! I must not be getting e-mail notifications. I usually anti-seize everything, and this one has been off fairly recently. I’ll report back on what I find when I get it off. I am most certainly the “next guy.” 😆 I don’t have one, but in my area, I find a 16-lb...

Best tool to pull a rotor without damage

What is the best tool to remove a stuck rotor while preserving the rotor? My nice US-made rear rotor (extremely rare NOS find) on a Chevy Express is fused to the hub. I want to remove it to access the parking brake shoe. I have a rotor puller and a Snap-on air hammer. Do you think the puller...

Installing a roll-up door with limited depth

Thanks for cranking those numbers for me. I’m trying to get at least seven feet, but we might have to live with a low opening on one side unless I find a good deal on a pair of used swinging doors. Thanks for correcting my terminology. I wish I were working with a roll-up!

Installing a roll-up door with limited depth

I was originally planning to install carriage house doors on my garage to avoid an internal chimney chase that would obstruct a sectional door’s operation. I’m reconsidering the swinging doors now that I have found a good deal on some used wooden sectional doors. I’m not sure how to make them...
