Personally I've had good success in using a 21g needle attached to a syringe... the needle is sharp enough to scrape the surface (and is sterile).. and the syringe makes a good handle.
Not sure I'd do it to myself... or without Lignocaine
I personally would much prefer a present that is "cheap" that someone has taken the time and effort to make rather than something that is expensive and has no "love'" put into it
I literally got them yesterday (the day I posted).. and here in Australia we don't have Craftsman but... the finish is nice, no rough points, engraving looks pretty deep and has sizing on both sides of the open end and on one side of the shaft. They say Made in China on the box.. but like any...
I agree, as I get more old equipment it'll come in handy more and more..
Not positive how I'm going to display... I'm slowly making a rolling tool cart based on Adam Savages idea
Convenience says the cart/on the wall, compactness and neatness says in the tool drawer
This is it except mine is...
Prob not as flash as some of the gear here.. but got myself a 44pc set of wrenches today... I didnt own anything imperial either... so they solved another problem I had!
Perfect for a home tinkerer like me :)
Been lurking around here often.. esp following the Restored 1930's workshop, 1/2 cups "A Shed Downunder" and Grizz1963 "Mixed Grill".. been up to a bit, nothing spectacular.. but I got some new toys today!
A 44pc set of GearWrench wrenches...
I didn't have any Imperial sized sockets...
Like most other people have said. The removal of the palm has made a huge difference.
The street appeal has increased massively. Lucky the previous sellers didn't make it look so good :)

Jason,
That is my expectation. The Lisle set works with a 3/8 ratchet (&/or whatever extension you want). There have been a few times recently that this would have help immensely
