I hate trying to clean out paint cups and it uses a lot of thinner so I wanted to try some of the disposable ones for my Tekna/Devilbiss prolite and figured I would start with the Devilbiss DeKups demo kit. came with 6 or 8 disposable liners and lids that sit in a reusable cup/barrel and lid, along with some filters, a funnel and some plugs and stuff. should make clean up a little easier!

I'm a hobbiest and I've used the DeKups for a few years now and love them! Not only is cleaning easier, but painting at any angle and even upside down is no longer an issue!

hobbyist here as well, I had been using the devilbiss ziploc style bag liners that go inside the regular steel or plastic cups but I bought a new gun last month and they don't fit the cup i'm using. I probably could have bought an adaptor for it but i was curious about these and for the price, ($25ish) it seemed like a safe buy. i should get a chance to try them this weekend!

I just received my latest eBay score,a 12pc Dayton branded metric wrench set 8-19mm.From what I have learned from you fine folks, these were obviously made by Thorsen. The wrenches are in good shape overall, with a little bit of pitting on the chrome one a few of the wrenches, but nothing serious.I bought these to put in my road kit.

Yes, I have some Thorsen wrenches I bought new, probably old stock at B & B Hardware in Culver City in the 1990's, and they are identical pattern.

Unexpectedly won an eBay auction @ $66! THLD72

I was watching that auction and when I saw it in my "ended" list for $66 I thought that was a really good deal. I just bought an orange handled THLFD72 from my dealer and thought the non flex would have made a nice pair. Congrats.

Ahh nice. Yeah the auction ended a few hours after I went to sleep so I fully expected to wake up and see that I didn't win it lol. Thanks!

Nice. Been eyeing that gearwrench set for a while, trying to source the cheapest price. How much did you pay for it?
I didn't really shop around. It was $121 on Amazon at the time.

Are they fine tooth? I don't like the proto designed stuff as they are coarse.

Nope, 24T.

I hear ya, I was a bit concerned too as this is by far the lowest tooth count ratchet I've ever owned. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's the smoothest with extremely lite backdrag. I love it and yes, I have dual 80's, Proto (45t?), Facom (72t), SK (60t), MAXX 88's, etc. This Koken blows them all away as far as smoothness/backdrag goes. And for it's purpose I dont see the swing arc of a 24t being too much of a concern. I have other ratchets if I run into that situation...

This Koken ratchet is by far the exact polar opposite of "coarse"

Chrome is pretty darn perfect and the knurling is awesome, very comfortable but great grip. Every Ko-Ken tool I have has had flawless fit and finish. My understanding is that there is a lot of hand work in these as opposed to mass machine production. It definitely shows.

I've been hunting this set down for a while and finally snagged them off of eBay. I've never seen a full set of these let alone in the original box!

That is a very cool set! [emoji106]
But don't get too attached to them. The handles are going to literally rot before your eyes. I'm amazed the process hasn't begun.
I had three such drivers - virtually NOS - bought about 4 years ago. They sat unused in my toolbox and were gone in 2 years.
That set must have been kept in an airtight sealed container all these years!

Just bought a couple of ball peen hammers. I never have liked the plastic covered handles on some hammers, but found these hammers with handles that I really like.

Remember these hammers I posted two pages ago? Well, I liked them so much that I bought two more, in the big-*** size. Now I can really pound the **** out of things.

My dad still has some of those tri-lobe screwdrivers from the 80's and the handles are still fine on them as well. To the OP, nice set and I too have never seen one in that condition and in the original box.

Prob not as flash as some of the gear here.. but got myself a 44pc set of wrenches today... I didnt own anything imperial either... so they solved another problem I had!

Perfect for a home tinkerer like me :)

I've had them for a while now. Very nice quality and they'll do great. I know professional mechanics who use them, so I doubt a home user will have problems with them.
