I'm going to have the floor for our new 30'x40' pole barn poured soon. However, I want to do as much of the prep work as possible. I'm going with a solid 4 inch thick floor, no heat or drains. How much crush stone needs to go down under the floor? Does a plastic moisture barrier go down...

I'm having a 40x30x12 pole barn built right now. It already looks small. You might want to reconsider going smaller. I would rather have it the way I want it now and worry about resale and things like that down the road. Good luck, NYH1.

Wow, looks great. Makes the little 30x40x12 pole barn we're having built seem second or third rate. Ours is just for personal use though, for working on cars, trucks, mowers, plows, atv's, guns and/or what ever else comes along. NYH1.

Hey guys/gals. New to the site, this is my first post. I'm having a pole barn built, it's about 2/3's done. So a site like this will come in handy once the contractors done and I go about doing the things I'm going to do to finish it. Look forward to gaining the knowledge shared here. NYH1.
