Thanks for you guy's information, with the torque of the thing I don't see 1/2 being necessary. I think I'll buy the williams 3/8" and the SK 1/4". Would prefer without the locking feature. Try to buy USA made tools, whenever possible. Regardless of warranty or quality.

I have issues with the DeWalt's we have at work. Most of them are fairly new and it seems like the chuck doesn't grab the bit to well no matter how tight I get them. Sometimes the bit will get stuck and the chuck just keeps spinning around it. Am I the only one?
