Help Finding a Body Panel Welder

I was planning on using a thin wire like the .023 you guys have specified, from the reading I've done. It also seems the best way to weld the panels together is to just do the small a bunch of small spots tediously until they eventually all connect to keep from warping the panel. I have a...

Help Finding a Body Panel Welder

What I need is a welder that is capable of welding on thin gage body panels, but I would also like if it could weld steel up to a 1/4" or 3/16". I would prefer something like a miller, lincoln, or something of equal quality. I would also say finding a new one through their site is fairly...

    School me on die grinders

Thanks for the responses. I would be using it for more body work and fab work. And I would run it off of an air compressor. Price point I am not too concerned about, I don't mind buying good quality tools so I don't have to buy the same product 2 weeks down the road. I would definitely be...

    Finding USA Made Tools

I get where you're coming from and sometimes in a pinch I buy whatever is cheapest off of amazon, like when I needed a steering wheel puller, or brake flaring kit. However, I also like supporting businesses here in America and buying tools stamped USA, gives me a sense of pride. Although, I...

    Finding USA Made Tools

JohnDeere1 and Wamsutta. I owe you great thanks while simultaneously hating you. I have never been to the Apex tools site before tonight, and I am already checking the market to see how much a human kidney is going for.

    Finding USA Made Tools

Thanks for you guy's information, with the torque of the thing I don't see 1/2 being necessary. I think I'll buy the williams 3/8" and the SK 1/4". Would prefer without the locking feature. Try to buy USA made tools, whenever possible. Regardless of warranty or quality.

    Body Panel Question

I appreciate the responses so far, I had looked before, and I could not find anything like that for door jamb. And looking at the actual piece on the car it does appear to be separate from the quarter, and looking online and replacement quarter panels I do not believe it covers the area in...

    Body Panel Question

Not sure if this is the right spot for this question but here goes. I looked at an early 70s muscle car today. Someone hacked a quarter panel from it, but in the process they also mostly demolished a separate piece of sheet metal in the door frame area. I am trying to post a picture of...

MAC Tools - Made in USA?

Not to revive an old thread, but are their new socket sets, like this one SXD126BRPT. Made in the states?

Which brand to start a cordless tool set?

I have issues with the DeWalt's we have at work. Most of them are fairly new and it seems like the chuck doesn't grab the bit to well no matter how tight I get them. Sometimes the bit will get stuck and the chuck just keeps spinning around it. Am I the only one?

MAC Tools - Made in USA?

I appreciate your response, I am a big fan of their old long reach plier set that came in a pouch. It is a shame to see a company who used to make nice USA made tools, shift over seas.
