Thank you and they are. No dents no pitting no rust. Just the tiniest of surface dust that came off with a rag. Paint a little faded. Not sure if I’ll paint or just clean up and oil it. Just need to take it in to my local locksmith guy and get locks put in and I’m super stoked about them.
Hello friends of garage journal. Hope everyone’s doing good especially anyone in rough weather areas. Just wanted to show off a bit what I picked up today I’m very excite. I got both these boxes for $80! Gentleman didn’t seem to care letting it go and I thought was awesome for 80 bucks.
Hello wonderful garage journal community. Just some more swapmeet finds at a bargain. Found these 2 tools for a buck each. Older gentleman selling them in a bucket full of off brand tools and I insisted him keeping change from 5 dollars. Little by little putting good tools together from treasure...
My dad went through it and deemed it okay enough for a quick turn on. But will not be using it it’ll be for decoration and eventually will re wire it. And yes gfci lol 👍🙂
Oh okay I was concerned maybe there was a hazard. I thought my dad would’ve said something if there was. This will be a decorative piece but still will eventually require it. And the Main has 3 conductors.
Skimmed through and looks like a great article will read when I get a chance. And yeah cable looked fine enough for a fast test but definitely thought to not leaving it like that in case I want to use it or at least for a future turn on when showing it off to my buddies
Hello again garage friends. If you’re re seeing this again. I posted previously on vintage tools discussions thread but it’s very small amount of threads just thought to also post here. Just wanted to share something I’m excited about. Have never found something this cool and think I got a deal...
Hello and good afternoon garage friends from all over. Nice beautiful weather here in CA today. Was a perfect morning for a swap meet in fall, Christmas stuff everywhere as everyone is probably in Christmas spirit after this disappointing Halloween this year. Just wanted to share what I found...
Had one gentleman solid dude also told me he thought it was a REM. There was another box I was looking at that didn’t have any logos or anything but was told it was a “malco” but he told me it was a jc penny from a certain year and was the exact one. And once again blown away the gentleman here...
Second post on this box just bought it for 30 bucks. No serial number I looked everywhere. No stamps no stickers. Slides are metal on metal no ball bearings. Did older small boxes like this come with ball bearing? Is metal on metal slides a sign of lower quality brand? Has locking drawers when...
I was hoping it’d be a good box but just saw sellers page. He’s selling snap on tools for super high prices so doubting he’d be selling this box for 20 bucks if it was a good brand right?
