Hello again garage friends. If you’re re seeing this again. I posted previously on vintage tools discussions thread but it’s very small amount of threads just thought to also post here. Just wanted to share something I’m excited about. Have never found something this cool and think I got a deal. I found a Snap On MT-630 6v/12v battery charger. Bought it from a gentleman that seemed to have just about rushed it to the flee market. Said didn’t know if it worked or not and that it was in the auctioned storage he got. I got it for 70 bucks brought it home and my pops who knows a few things about electrical helped me to turn it on and it fired right up. Hooked it up to a meter and 6v and 12v are on the money. I think it’s about the coolest thing I have found. Any ideas around what years this is from? Also would replacing power cable and clamps and wires hurt value? Would think those are like consumables right? Hope y’all have a good rest of this fall after noon cheers 🍻

If the power cord is not in good shape the by all means replace it, you will not hurt the value of the battery charger, better safe than starting a fire. Nice find; Check out the following link for some ideas of age of snap on.

Skimmed through and looks like a great article will read when I get a chance. And yeah cable looked fine enough for a fast test but definitely thought to not leaving it like that in case I want to use it or at least for a future turn on when showing it off to my buddies
