You got that right. I'm not a collector (yet) and I really needed something more sturdy for my work.

Yeah I was surprised to see them at all, let alone in near-perfect condition. The top jaws are a bit beat up but the pipe jaws are barely used.

Just picked this up last night. Paid a little less than a dollar a pound. I think it's a 205M3 but the stamping is too light.

Rock Island 605 vise. Pretty bad shape overall. How do you bend the slide like that?

I'm looking in the general Southern California area for a sturdy vise that can take some hammering and presswork. Does not have to swivel but should weigh over 100 lbs. Will pay good money for the right one.

I got a Wrightgrip 6-24mm metric set for a little over $150, I think their SAE set is a little less.

I found a few with a search on ebay for '27 piece auto pry set' - definitely still available under a few names.

Got a Matco MT2638, it is larger but has way more torque than the old Rodac/CP. It actually took a lug bolt off my Saab. Will see if it can handle daily use with a full set of Capri 3/8 impact sockets. The super stubby shallow ones are very handy.

The Proto/Mac 90 tooth, hands down. Nice long handle, solid mechanism.

Maybe there's a Torx size you can hammer in there. Definitely never had to deal with 11mm Allen.

Couldn't resist this set of Wilde USA pry bars when I saw it came with the rack. Also forgot to post this scan tool, almost thought it didn't count but hey. It's going to pay for itself real quick.

I hunted down that same set of three on eBay last year. Worth it!
