    I put the cutting board into proper use this morning, something I didn't dare try to do in 2020! I learned to make bread on this piece of maple 40 years ago, super happy to have it back in the kitchen. No more drilling into it or building engines on it.

    Yup, this batch is a red ale. My plastic butterfly capper finally failed so it was time to get a proper replacement. There is a nice ball detent on the pinion that lets you disengage it to reposition the handle for the bottle height.

    sorry for sending things down a coffee grinder rabbit hole, because now I'm re-stuck down there too. can't get the idea of a wall mounted hand crank flat burr grinder out of my head, heading to CAD now..

    knitted kevlar is actually a thing, and how cool would a carbon/kevlar houndstooth weave be? I'll not push it any further as I want to see more bike projects.

    If they don't know what they are doing nickel plating can significantly reduce the fatigue strength.

    figured that was the case. so, move the truss to the centerline so it does not get in the way of accessing the storage. could also use floor anchors to mount the frame to the top, to take advantage of the stiffness of the torsion box.
