the tremors could be a mineral deficiency, but im not sure which it would be. Theres things the soils are deficient in around here for livestock (most notably selenium) that need to be suplimented but that shouldn't be a problem for native animals.
very little straw in maine, it generally costs multiple times what quality hay does, never mind mulch hay. And hay is better for seeding anything but a lawn as it may have its own seed in it.

But this was my setup for woodworking. Level outfeed, saw bolted to a board hanging on bolts from the outfeeds, so I could adjust it up or down if I changed saws, and to precisely level it with nuts
Make the out feed at like 5" and mount the saw on some leveling bolts. Or to a plate mounted on bolts so you can adjust it to level with the outfeed, rather the making outfeed match saw. And with a solid outfeed it should take most of the weight unless is really heavy short stock.
they have been having the equipment auctions in paris, I skipped the last one because junk was stupid high at the spring one.
