Just picked up the 18v Drill and Impact set and both batteries rattle when fitted to the tools. Is this normal? I expected a solid lockup with these. It feels cheap.
Will most stores match the price on special buys if they have the item in stock?
For instance there is a Milwaukee drill driver kit that is online with 2 free batteries but not in store. The store has all of the same items just without the discount. Can they just discount the batteries?
Does anyone know of a LED bulb in the 120-150 watt equivalent range? We are using screw in CFL's in the garage and with the cold weather and our occupancy sensor we are not getting very much life out of them. I thought about using the 100watt equivalent Cree but it's just not bright enough.
Why not run wireless? Modern WiFi outdoor AP's can easily span that distance with more than enough speed. You can also look at a backhaul wireless solution like Ubiquiti airmax.
I'm working on a project to monitor our sump pits and water pumps. I have an area under our deck that I'm going to use as the junction for the sensors.
I need a water tight enclosure with a single duplex outlet in it. I know they exist but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. It...
The float is fine and the pump cycle looks good. I've watched a few cycles and ran a couple of manual ones as well. Through all off this the pumps run time has stayed constant at 10 minutes. There is no check valve in our design due to the distance between the lift station and depth of the...
I posted the other day about our septic system but I put it in the wrong forum and didn't get any responses.
Last Saturday night a toilet flap must have gotten stuck on the basement toilet. I have all of our pumps hooked to a monitoring system that shows current draw when they are on. So...
Out track is set back a bit in the middle and with the winds we get will push open a 1/4 gap on the side. If the hinges would help seal the door shut it would be work the $85.00.
As winter progresses and the wind hammers our house I'm beginning to think that our attic/roof venting is wrong. It seems like we have to many systems and that they are canceling each other out or a causing to much loss.
Our house has fully vented soffits with baffles, we have roof vents along...
The new conduit I ran is not buried. It just runs under the deck and is attached to the joists. Its kind of an interesting room in that it's not water tight because the deck is it's roof but it has 10 foot concrete walls on three sides. If I could figure out a cheap way to add a ceiling I would...
It was never in conduit. They ran direct burial 12/3 from the garage to the under the deck (6" below ground") up the concrete wall, draped under the joists and into the pump relay. They also ran it in 3/4 conduit where it was exposed on the back of the garage and since it wouldn't fit in the...
