I just installed mine last January. Put it in the corner and vented it straight up. Personally I would not want it running horizontal in the attic due to the heat coming off the vent pipe plus that pipe is not cheap and would cost a lot more.

I’m considering putting the Racedeck Freeflow in my 3.5 car garage but wanted to actually see and walk on it first. Anyone by cabana in the Chicago suburbs I could swing by sometime and look?

Mine did the same thing. Thermostat burned out causing it to run constantly. Just got it last December. Not even a year old with probably 15hrs of run time on it. Yes, i use the search funcrion and am bringing this back!!

I will update as it is installed and operational. My garage is fully insulated, drywalled, tapes and painted on all walls with an insulated door so I know that will help.

Thanks for the input but I am not out in the garage that much and all the reviews I have read for 17000 BTU/5000 watt heaters electric heaters work fine for a garage my size. Propane would probably be cheaper to run if I was out in the garage quite a bit.

I am going to be installing an electriic heater for occasional use this winter. It will NOT be on all the time. probably for a weekend day and maybe a day during the week. Sometimes just a few hours. I have a torpedo propane now and just tired of moving it and the tank around and plugging it in...
