    Milwaukee M12 Impact Wrench (Ratchet)

They offer a 1/2" version. Have you considered purchasing that? I read online that you can use it as a normal ratchet to break a bolt loose. I assume that's pretty hard on the tool though...

    Milwaukee M12 Impact Wrench (Ratchet)

Alright, anybody have the M12 Impact "Ratchet" like shown below? Guys that have them swear they are great...They aren't made in M18 unfortunately. Can this frame be repaired?

A reputable welder could get this fixed up. I wouldn't be scared of that if you do a quality job with someone who knows what they are doing. Also a good solid new floor helps spread the load out across the frame.

    SILICON BRONZE TIG WELDING

Funny you mention Roll In Band Saw. This silicon bronze was on the table clamp for that saw. Someone cut and cut and cut into the clamp and it was in pretty bad shape. I used the silicoon bronze to build up the surface. I wonder if when using it on cast iron the carbon is drawn out of the cast...

    SILICON BRONZE TIG WELDING

I bought some of this silicon bronze tig rod a while back and recently used it for building up a cast iron vise that had been sawed into multiple times. HOLY **** is the stuff hard. I knocked the high spots down on a belt sander and it was a heck of a time. I then took it to work to have a...

    Unknown steel identification

Higher carbon steel will have more of a star burst type spark vs a low carbon mild steel where the sparks are more straight line. I would compare the sparks to a known metal. You really shouldnt have any issue machining unless its a very high carbon steel. You can weld higher carbon steel its...

The GDS Skunkworks, 4 FN 27's Shop Projects

I love those little Amada breaks. We still run an old Promacam break. I love the upacting machine the only downside for us is it doesnt have the travel of a new machine. How many times do guys bend the incorrect sides first, then not be able to get the other 2 sides up to 90 because your style...
