Radiant Closed Loop Pressure Loss - POLL: How often do you fill?

Fitter I think you have a point. Last night, as opposed to trying to use a silly pump, I bought a cheap 100-ft hose and ran one from the basement sink out the door into the garage and connected it to the system. before, I had put my expansion tank at 15 psi. But, with the pump only getting to...

Radiant Closed Loop Pressure Loss - POLL: How often do you fill?

Indeed! My cousin has a larger pump that would do, and really because I tested any my glycol concentration is a bit high, I could just thaw my hose and pump it from the house using street pressure. Good suggestion! Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Radiant Closed Loop Pressure Loss - POLL: How often do you fill?

Thanks Fitter- I will take a look at those sealants! Thanks Jackfire- it probably is clean now that it's ran for a few months. Last night I used a crappy drill pump to get it up to pressure again, and the little thing could only push 10psi. :( But, the boiler fired up and under heat went up...

Radiant Closed Loop Pressure Loss - POLL: How often do you fill?

How often do you top up the pressure/fluid in your CLOSED LOOP radiant system? Hi Team. Thanks again for all the help in my Help design my boiler panel thread. The system had been working well, and I noticed a leak around my inline, clear Hydro Smart Wye Strainer. It dropped from 15psi down...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Organizing the Family Shop

Fill me in- what's bad in the photos? Is that a warped block? Or the whole block just needs flushed? Not sure as I am not that deep into automotive engines. Thank you and love this thread! Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

    Tool Crib of the North

More! I must have more pics! Love this, especially with the documentation of all of the things involved that aren't actually the project itself. Boats, trucks, cars, small engines, it's all part of the project of keeping life running! Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Newbie questions for in floor heating.

Thats good info. How many garage doors and what size and are they insulated? Any windows and what size? Lastly, what's the roof pitch? What major town are you closest to? This all helps for the heat loss calc, then you can see what's needed. My guess at 50 degrees design temp, you need...

Newbie questions for in floor heating.

It's all about how much heat your building looses. Do you have insulation under and around the sides? Windows? Insulated garage doors? Insulated walls and ceilings? And what target temp? Will you run the floor at 44 to keep the ice out, or 55 to work, or 70 to wash cars naked? :) Run this...

    Best floor for garage

I did Hellfire from Legacy. 4 coats with a basic grind prep. I wanted above all salt protection, and to make it a bit better than bare for oil spills. Stuff is nice, basic, and strong. Pics from caulking the joints. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Sikaflex in saw cut control joints

I just did this. The self leveling will somewhat fill in the chips under the tape. If it didn't, I had one tube cut for a tiny opening 1/8", and just added a little to that area. The other way I addressed was literally taping out around them. Wasn't bad. However, that was on 656 sq ft. Not 4000...

    Garage heater pipe clearances

Is class b the double wall? If so, 1" seems correct, as the hot gasses exit the internal pipe, and the outside pulls in the cold air keeping it cooler. See here.http://www.ameri-vent.com/type-b-vent-gas Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Help design my Boiler Panel

I thought they were good. I realized I could get everything I needed at Menards locally, and after I learned what I needed from this site I then disagreed with some of their recommendations. However, their prices and website were good, shipping was realistic, and the original people I worked...
