I used some 1" thick HDPE (think cutting board material) under my Bendpak 4-post lift arms to get things a bit more level and plumb. I also needed an extra 1" of clearance for a lifted Suburban, so this helped me in both cases. I still bolted it down (through the HDPE sheets), but have worries...
I have an attached 6 car garage that has no wall insulation and some ceiling insulation. After pulling in a few hot cars in the Kansas heat (100+ degrees), my garage gets really warm! Last year I installed a Quiet Cool CL-2250 whole garage/home exhaust fan at the highest part of the ceiling...
Correct - this just for the garage.
I called QuietCool and they recommended the CL-2250 (as it's meant more for "large rooms" instead of a whole house). The attic of the garage is isolated from the attic of the rest of the house.
I do plan on purchasing and installing the CL-2250 as well as...
I have a unique garage layout and am debating the next steps to attempt keeping it somewhat cool in the harsh KS summer months. My garage is a 6 car (split 2 + 4). The 4 car garage is a tandem and the back half (where I do the majority of my car work) has 16 foot ceilings. The ceiling of the...
I have the same exact leak on my 1.5yo Bendpak 2 post 10k lift. I'm also in KC. It doesn't leak very much. I've wiped it down once and it slowly dripped from that same location over the next few months. Everything seemed tight, so I never figured it out.
Over the years, I've tried several white grease markers/pencils for automotive work. I've never found one that marked cleanly, didn't quickly rub off, or the marker itself didn't dry out quickly (often when I needed it the most!).
Any recommends for a good quality white grease pencil/marker...
I just had a new home built. In one particular corner of the garage, a very small section of roof has had a small, but persistent leak that the builder cannot identify. The builder had the roofer replace that section of roof (10' x 4') and the builder has temporarily removed the drywall and...
You got ripped if you paid $1250 for install...
I paid the best and most recommended installers in KC like 400 to install my 2-post Bendpak (this was 6 months ago...)
I have a Bendpak 10k symmetrical lift that I had installed this summer. While my lock mechanism is slightly different (I push the release handle in towards the post, not pulling down like yours), I will give one piece of advice.
Lube the opposite post locking mechanism really well. I had to...
Platonic Solid - thank you so much for all the effort you put into this thread!
Can you please confirm my design and answer a few questions?

Understood. I'm seeking to understand - what is the issue with splicing into the existing outlet circuit (as long as I'm not running anything from the outlet)?
Hi all!
I just had my new Bendpak 2-post lift installed today. I recently built my house and knew that I would have a need for 220V service, so I had my builder install a 220V 1ph plug for woodworking tools or a welder. I currently don't have a welder (or anything) plugged into this outlet...
I just put my order in for a Bendpak 10k# 2-post lift.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a good (but affordable):
Oil/waste drain tank?
High lift jack stands?
Thanks!
Nice! I bought the 72" Harbor Freight earlier this year and couldn't be happier with it. As tempting as the 72" may have been that is on display at the one store - they wouldn't let you walk out the door with it anyway. The 72" can only be ordered and freighted to your residence.
