Recommendations for a good grease pencil/marker?

Over the years, I've tried several white grease markers/pencils for automotive work. I've never found one that marked cleanly, didn't quickly rub off, or the marker itself didn't dry out quickly (often when I needed it the most!).

Any recommends for a good quality white grease pencil/marker? Or is there a better alternative that I'm not aware of?

Thanks!

The red pencil crayons work well for me. They come in white.
If you can remember to recap them, Sharpies are good.

Grease pencil AKA. Easier to find when a person knows the other names.
The grease pencil, a wax writing tool also known as a wax pencil, china marker, or china graph pencil, is a writing implement made of hardened colored wax and is useful for marking on hard, glossy non-porous surfaces. This pencil is usually made from non-toxic opaque wax that is similar to a crayon but stronger.
I got mine at STAPLES. Any office supply should have them.

I like paint markers too. I use them. But unless you have a lot of marking to do, the time in between uses dries up the tip and you have to pump them like 100 times before they start to work again.

I use them daily and love them. A really important factor to not having to pump them is color. Certain colors have pigments that dry really fast and hard to start like light blue (in medium tip) but dark blue and orange flow really quickly.

I recommend to the OP to look at the fine tip versions in Markal Pro-Line model. Zoro sells them for a really good price. I like the dark blue a lot but the orange is easy read on every back ground. It's also a pleasant deep orange color. If looking for sharpie tip size, then go with the HP Pro-Line.

Works on greasy metal sheets. Easily comes off using rubbing alcohol or acetone.

I used Markal paint pens/markers in the oilfield on greasy, drilling fluid coated Downhole tools all the time. They’re great. I always stored mine in a ziplock inside on old bank deposit bag in case they let go inside my briefcase. Now days I use a Milwaukee Inkzall for a lot of my drawing needs in the garage. They don’t dry out too easily, and your marks last a good long time I’ve noticed. They’ll write on damn near any surface you can toss at them, but naturally rougher surfaces eat up the tips faster.
