2nd on the conduits (I used 1.5" plastic conduit) and CAT6a suggestion. I remodeled my house and ran conduits to four location where I "might" want to run stuff in the future (like whatever comes after HDMI to TV's). It's been two years and I've already used three of the conduits.

It looks GREAT, nice work! You might consider also painting the cinder-block walls (cement paint) for a more finished look plus more light reflection.
