Just a few miles from me, might have to go take a look lol

Fyi u can order hard handle snap on ratchets off the website

Part # FHD80G gets you a 3/8" Drive Hard Handle Ratchet, replacing G with R or O gets you the different color variatoins. This is (I assume) for a standard length ratchet w/o Flex Head... I've had no luck finding anything else.

Husky vs US general tool cart

Assuming the husky you mention is this, I would say Harbor Freight red 5-drawer all day long. I have one at work, as does another tech, and our newest tech is looking at one. The only thing I'd get rid of mine for is a Snap-On, but that comes with a 10x price hike.

Thought some of you guys might enjoy seeing this relic haha

    New general service tech

Haha yeah, that was the first tool I ever bought off the tool truck... One snappy long-handle 3/8. Used it for every job for a long time after that. Never tried a roto ratchet, but I have been eyeing up a new Snap-On SX80B lately...

    Any mechanics ever downsize?

Never done it myself, but I've worked with guys that worked out of 2-3 smaller boxes. Looked like a PITA to me... probably because at least 3 of the guys ive seen with the smaller boxes kept them in different parts of the shop for some reason. I stick to a "big" box ~56" wide for specialty...

    New general service tech

When I started, I had a mix of what was available around town... Craftsman, Kobalt, Husky, HF, etc. By now, it's all been used pretty hard, the ratchets were replaced with snap-on within a few months, but everything else held up reasonably well. I usually bought off the tool truck because I...

    thoughts on these wrenches

I have the matco version, found here. Very useful for tight spaces, limited access, serp belts, etc.

How do you store your Extensions?

I'm getting tired of the massive pile of extensions in the back of my drawer, and I'm looking for a more organized solution... Anyone have any examples?

    Power tool rack

Here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009G6PVQW/?tag=atomicindus08-20 While not padded, a can of plastidip would add some protection from scratches & such if that's what you're after.

Izzy Swan's Drill Powered Through Wrench

Seen a few guys use a contractors compressor and something like this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/krc-5000. There are a couple of patents out for the kind of thing you created there, but I've never seen a physical prototype till now lol

    M12 or M18 Impact Driver...

I always ran air on trans pans previously, but all these 2015-16's seem to have drain plugs, so everything tends to stay pretty clean on disassembly.

    M12 or M18 Impact Driver...

Just to clarify, I'm looking at a 1/4" impact driver -- not the 3/8 impact wrench. Dealing with more phillips & torx screws than anything. Though down the road a cordless 3/8 impact gun could be a good alternative to my matco pneumatic.

    M12 or M18 Impact Driver...

I want to finally buy a cordless impact driver as a birthday present to myself. I work in a shop that sees a lot of new, rust-free rent-a-heaps for light duty & maintenance work, so I'm specifically looking for one to handle skid plate bolts, belly pans, trim, battery terminals, trans & oil pan...

Pro techs: Have you used a 19.5mm lug nut removal socket?

Never used one myself, but I can think of a few days I may have if I had one available... I typically just get them off with whatever fits when the chinesium caps are marred enough to be a problem.
