    Let me get this straight... a vacuum cleaner needs a circuit board?!?! I get what you are saying; there is a lot of satisfaction in avoiding the expected consumer route of "toss and buy new" and friends and family are left in awe.

    This is my woodworking bench built over the course of about 9 months using mostly free/scrap wood and zero electric tools. Oh, and using a rickety B&D Workmate as a workbench. It started with a piece of glue-lam beam "cut-off" that someone gave me, then some old doug fir rough-cut 2x4's...

    Just curious... why do you say you would not restore this one? Is that crack in the handle okay for use (it looks rather bad in the picture)? Or would just intend to never use the hammer, and leave it in it's cracked condition? thanks...
