Hello, and good evening to all of the guys/gals here on GJ. I've been browsing the forums for a few weeks, heard about this site from a friend. All I can say is WOW, what an excellent resource this place is!
A little about myself: I'm a 23 year old college student living in Clearwater, FL. My backround experiences consist mostly of automotive & light electrical work. Through the years I've had to pick up wrenches and fix things myself when our family didn't have money for auto repairs & the like. In a sense, its been a "trial by fire", and I've learned to love it. That feeling you get when you turn that key, press a button, flip the switch, and your creation comes to life... there is no other.
I came here thinking that I'd be jumping right in the convos, sharing some of my knowledge with you guys and helping people in need. However, I quickly learned that my best bet would be to sit and listen, for my knowledge pales in comparion to most of you. Some of you here are on a level I will have to work many years to reach.
What I may lack in knowledge and experience, I fill that space with an eagerness to learn and understand the teachings that you good men bring to this site. I've been a lurker for a few months now, and I'm happy to say that I've learned as much about building and fixing things as I have about life in general. Many of you are wise beyond your years...and believe me, I'm going to pick your brains to uncover as many life secrets as I can.

Sorry for the lack of brevity!
Cheers,
DB
